Andrew Turner was born in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on the 15th of February 1965. His passion for photography developed at an early age leading to his first job as a press photographer for a local newspaper. Working on small time senseless news stories eventually sapped his creativity and he decided to drop the idea of becoming a professional photographer.

After several years taking no photographs at all, his passion for photography finally returned with the advent of digital. This more or less coincided with a relocation to Abruzzo in Italy, where he moved with his young family. There he found new inspiration in the form of wonderful medieval villages, quirky local characters and of course amazing light.
